Middle-Management Maximizer™

Maximize Your Impact and Strengthen Your Company from the Middle

Group leadership program for Directors, GMs, Senior Managers, Regional Managers, Department or Functional Managers

Mid-level management is the toughest place to be on the leadership chain.

In addition to your functional role, mid-level managers are also asked to take on extra roles such as coach, mentor, and talent developer.

Middle managers are the connectors keeping companies running smoothly. It’s time to move from stretched-thin and undervalued to recognized and respected.

Does this sound like a day in your life?

  • You are pulled in different directions because your direct reports have questions, and your boss has priorities.
  • You spend most of your day in meetings.
  • You are trying to maintain the connections on your growing team.
  • Navigating the complexity of turning strategy into execution is a constant challenge.
  • You wonder if you are using the right communication strategy to get effective messaging out to team members.
  • You are empowered to make decisions yet sometimes second-guessed by executives.
  • There is a lack of professional development to help you leverage your strengths.

Skillfully navigating this next level of leadership requires understanding how to:

It’s time to move away from the messy middle and onto a clear leadership path of confidence and clarity. With the skills and knowledge you need, this role will be recognized and respected as a key player on the company’s leadership team.

Discover who you ARE as a LEADER and learn how to use your strengths as a LEVER to support your teams and executives.

The Program

In Middle-Management Maximizer™ managers will embark on a 7-module leadership development experience. Participants will meet in half-day sessions to work through a defined skills-based curriculum where they can also receive real-time feedback and coaching from certified leadership coach Corina Walsh and their peers in the group.

The focus of this program is to help middle managers understand how to lead multiple teams that are aligned with organizational goals and vision and build strategic relationships to move goals forward all while managing competing priorities.

Module One

Build and Lead High-Functioning Teams – In today’s complex workplace it is no longer effective to ‘hire smart people and get out of their way’, especially in a remote work environment.  Mid-level managers will learn how to manage team dynamics both in-person and remotely, create a clear map for success, and foster a team culture.

Module Two

Coach for Consistent Performance – To turn strategy into results, mid-level managers must know how to get the highest possible level of performance from every team member. Managers will learn advanced coaching techniques to coach teams and ‘teams of teams’.

Module Three

Develop Next-Gen Leaders – The role of middle manager today includes developing the next generation of leaders to ensure successful leadership transitions. Developing other managers includes a higher level of responsibility and complexity. Managers will learn how to coach and develop other managers to lead their teams with thoughtfulness and integrity.

Module Four

Lead From Your Strengths – Emotional Intelligence for Managers (EQ-i2.0 Assessment Included)

Managers rely less on technical skills and more on interpersonal skills at the mid-level of leadership. Well developed emotional intelligence will support middle managers to build self-awareness and self-leadership skills. Managers will learn how to interpret their EQ-i report to identify their strengths.

Module Five

Lead From Your Strengths Part 2 – Emotional Intelligence for Managers – Managers will learn actionable strategies to leverage their leadership strengths and build greater emotional effectiveness.

Module Six

Leverage Interpersonal Influence – Middle managers must navigate the ‘double act’ of being a proactive leader and an engaged follower. Developing a good relationship with executives is often a key factor influencing success in this role. Managers will develop upward influence skills to shrink the distance between levels of leadership to bring the organization together.

Module Seven

Manage Competing Priorities – A common challenge for middle managers is balancing their everyday tasks with the people functions of management. Striking this balance requires big picture thinking along with sharp prioritization skills. Managers will learn tools and techniques for task management and workflow to ensure they don’t become the bottleneck on their team.

Lead Execution. Produce Results.

Past Participants Say

When I registered for Middle-Management Maximizer™ I was dealing with a lot of issues at work that were out of my control including being short-staffed and having a lack of resources to accomplish various requests. I found this leadership program extremely useful at my level of management. The concepts learned really shifted my perspective and provided me with tools to create a better workplace for all. I am slowly integrating the concepts I learned into my various units. I have greater awareness of myself thanks to the modules on emotional intelligence. These sessions were quite meaningful because it is vital to know and understand yourself and reflect on your beliefs, thoughts, intentions, and actions. Understanding myself helped me bring more compassion and empathy to my teams.
